The Maori Volcanics was formed in the 1960's and continued into the 1970's as an international identity. The nucleus of 6 males and 1 female was to remain as a group before the first of many changes.

 Member's were : 1964

Nuki Waaka, Mahora, Tui Teka,

Hector Epae, John Cameron,

Paul Minhinnick, Mattie Kemp.

Over the next coming years there was to be many changes as past members vacated their positions  and made way for newer members.

            

 Many Members such as Prince Tui Teka,  Robbie Ratana,

                         

Billy T James,  Jessie Rawiri,

Went onto become icons in the New Zealand music industry.
